Dear! I had installed R 1.6.2. and I tried to download Bioconductor using Bioconductor install script. However, when I run the script in R it reports following: Error in getBioC(all) : Your R is not currently configured to allow HTTP connections, which is required for getBioC to work properly. Can you help me how to solve this problem and successfully download Bioconductor packages. Thank you very much in advance. Yours sincerely, Berislav Bosnjak, BSc PLIVA

This says that your R is not configured properly, you need to have internet functionality working inside of R to be able to use getBioC(). You'll probably have the best luck looking over the help files at the R website www.r-project.org) or asking on their mailing lists (which you can get to off of their "mailing lists" link on the left of their web page. -J
