I am quite familiar with using functions such as getPMID() to get abstracts from PubMed, but would like to be able to execute PubMed searches using text (such as gene names or aliases) directly from within R. Does BioConductor offer such functionality? Thanks, Mark W. Kimpel MD ? Official Business Address: ? You might want to look at this package: http://bioinformatics.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/20/18/36 59 The code has moved around, but a Google search will probably get you close. Alternatively, look at the eutils documentation at NCBI. Finally, there may be another package out there that does this sort of thing that I am not aware of.
