![enter image description here][1]Hello! We have built a new experimental setup to study the behavior of fruit-flies (Drosophila). The flies are being photographed from above and we need to determine the position of the flies. We would like to use the EBImage package (or any other R package), for extracting the position (x,y coordinates) of the flies (seen as dark spots on the image). Could you kindly help us with setting the R commands? Thanks in advance, Eran Tauber

@swbarnes2 - while I fully agree with the substance of your message (i.e. that well described issue get much better answers), I think the same could be achieved with a slightly less demeaning phrasing. You might consider familiarising yourself with the Bioconductor code of conduct and possibly rephrase your comment.

What have you tried so far? Asking a question with zero evidence of having lifted a finger to try it yourself is not likely to get good answers.
