That should in principle be described by looking at the help page for
rat2302. At least they give the sources of the annotation, and then
you have to look at AnnBuilder to get an idea of how that is

info from Affy?

rat2302 is generated by first mapping probeset IDs to Entrez Gene IDs
retrieving annotations of those Entrez Gene IDs from public databases.
vigentte of AnnBuilder ("How to use AnnBuilder") lists the URLs of
databases. Also, this post explains a bit about the probeset to Entrez
