Presentation of the company: Founded in 1999 and based in Marseille, Ipsogen is a biotechnology company developing molecular diagnostic tests in oncology. These tests allow the molecular typing of cancers in order to personalize treatments for individual patients. IPSOGEN's major activities: -Oncodiagnostics: design, manufacturing, and marketing of medical devices for in vitro diagnostics, intended for use in health establishments. -Oncogenomics: molecular services related to cancer drug development (including gene expression profiling, genotyping, and mutation detection) are offered to pharmaceutical industries, public institutes, and clinics, and are adapted to preclinical and clinical trials. Job Opening: Ipsogen has a position available for a Data Analysis Project Manager in its "Information Systems" department. Under the responsibility of the Chief Operating Officer, and in collaboration with the R&D oncodiagnostics and oncogenomics services you: -Develop and validate mathematical and statistical algorithms for the analysis of DNA microarray data -Develop and validate normalization methods, supervised and non-supervised techniques for expression data -Apply biostatistical tests to determine experimental protocols for model validation -Perform analyses within the framework of the R&D and Oncogenomics activities -Participate in the interpretation of analyses -Participate in the publication and communication of data analysis results -Supervise a research assistant with expertise in genomics Required knowledge and technical skills: -Level Engineer or Doctor in biostatistics -Strong background in molecular biology -At least 4 years experience in data analysis as applied to diagnostics -Mastery of the methods used to analyse expression data generated from DNA microarrays -Proficiency in spoken and written English -Project management skills -Able to program in R, experience with Unix / Linux -Mastery of classical biostatistical methods -Good communication capacity and experience in team supervision Details: Project Manager permanent position; located in Marseille; occasional travel within and outside of France. Salary to be negotiated according to experience.
