Hi, my best guess is that this is unrelated to aroma.affymetrix (which only calls EBImage functions). Please try to load EBImage in a fresh R session and try one of the many example():s. /Henrik On 31/12/2007, Ellul Jason <jason.ellul at="" petermac.org=""> wrote: > Dear All, > I receive this message when I attempt to plot an Image using > aroma.affymetrix. > The error seems to lie with EBImage. > > Both ImageMagick and GTK+ are installed and added to my system-wide > PATH variable. > > I am using R version 2.6.1 on windows with EBImage 2.2.0. > > Has anyone else seen this error and if so is there a fix? > Thanks in advance for your help, > > Jason > > > plotImage(cf) > > Loading required package: EBImage > Error in dyn.load(file, ...) : > unable to load shared library > 'C:/PROGRA~1/R/R-26~1.1/library/EBImage/libs/EBImage.dll': > LoadLibrary failure: The specified procedure could not be found. > > Error in list("plotImage(cf)" = <environment>, > "plotImage.AffymetrixCelFile(cf)" = <environment>, : > > [2007-12-31 11:51:20] Exception: Package not loaded: EBImage. > at throw(Exception(...)) > at throw.default("Package not loaded: EBImage.") > at throw("Package not loaded: EBImage.") > at getImage.AffymetrixCelFile(this, ...) > at getImage(this, ...) > at plotImage.AffymetrixCelFile(cf) > at plotImage(cf) > > Jason Ellul > Junior Bioinformatics Analyst > Bioinformatics Research Department > > Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre > TEL: +61 3 9656 3676 > FAX: +61 3 9656 1411 > EMAIL: jason.ellul at petermac.org > > Address: St Andrew's Place East Melbourne Victoria 3002 Australia > Postal Address: Locked Bag No. 1 A'Beckett St., Victoria, 8006, > Australia > > > > > This email (including any attachments) may contain > confidential and/or legally privileged information and is > intended only to be read or used by the addressee. Hi Jason, could you please check if the file C:/PROGRA~1/R/R-26~1.1/library/EBImage/libs/EBImage.dll actually exists. If so, if paths to imagemagick root and gtk bin and gtk lib are added to the PATH (default during installation of both those tools). If yes, try to update EBImage to the latest version from www.ebi.ac.uk/~osklyar/EBImage -- that is definitely compiled with R-2.6.x (as I believe you are using a Windows binary version). Just to test at any time if the package works, try something like library(EBImage) example(watershed) Kind regards, Oleg -- Dr. Oleg Sklyar European Bioinformatics Institute Wellcome Trust Genome Campus Hinxton, Cambridge CB10 1SD UK e-mail: osklyar at ebi.ac.uk > Dear All, > I receive this message when I attempt to plot an Image using > aroma.affymetrix. > The error seems to lie with EBImage. > > Both ImageMagick and GTK+ are installed and added to my > system-wide > PATH variable. > > I am using R version 2.6.1 on windows with EBImage 2.2.0. > > Has anyone else seen this error and if so is there a fix? > Thanks in advance for your help, > > Jason > >> plotImage(cf) > > Loading required package: EBImage > Error in dyn.load(file, ...) : > unable to load shared library > 'C:/PROGRA~1/R/R-26~1.1/library/EBImage/libs/EBImage.dll': > LoadLibrary failure: The specified procedure could not be > found. > > Error in list("plotImage(cf)" = <environment>, > "plotImage.AffymetrixCelFile(cf)" = <environment>, : > > [2007-12-31 11:51:20] Exception: Package not loaded: EBImage. > at throw(Exception(...)) > at throw.default("Package not loaded: EBImage.") > at throw("Package not loaded: EBImage.") > at getImage.AffymetrixCelFile(this, ...) > at getImage(this, ...) > at plotImage.AffymetrixCelFile(cf) > at plotImage(cf) > > Jason Ellul > Junior Bioinformatics Analyst > Bioinformatics Research Department > > Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre > TEL: +61 3 9656 3676 > FAX: +61 3 9656 1411 > EMAIL: jason.ellul at petermac.org > > Address: St Andrew's Place East Melbourne Victoria 3002 > Australia > Postal Address: Locked Bag No. 1 A'Beckett St., Victoria, 8006, > Australia > > > > > This email (including any attachments) may contain > confidential and/or legally privileged information and is > intended only to be read or used by the addressee.
