This is a reminder to those interested in the "Intermediate Bioconductor: Analyzing Microarray and Sequencing Experiments" training course that is being held in Seattle, WA USA 21-23 January 2009. Space is still available for this course on Bioconductor tools for analyzing microarray and sequencing experiments. During lectures and hands-on labs, attendees will be presented material on: 1. The basics of R and Bioconductor 2. Microarray data analysis in Bioconductor * Microarray data framework within Biocondcutor * Quality assurance of microarray data * Normalizing microarray data * Finding differential expression in microarray data * Performing Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) using microarray data * Incorporating metadata in microarray data analysis 3. Sequence data analysis in Bioconductor * Sequence data framework within Biocondcutor * Quality assurance of short genomic reads using Bioconductor * Annotated genomes within Bioconductor * Exact and fuzzy string matching/aligning in Bioconductor * Graphical displays of ChIP-seq data in Bioconductor For details and registration, visit https://secure.bioconductor.org/SeattleJan09/.
