Dear all: I'm trying to do a mapping from probe sequence to genome using Biostrings. The array platform I used is arabidopsis tiling array 1.0R. However, I have problems to extract probe sequence and probe names from bpmap files provided by affymetrix. I also tried to write a tpmap file. But it doesn't seems to contain the probe names info. Does anybody know how to extract the probe info and generate this kind of probe package like established 3' expression arrays? (eg. hgu95av2probe") thanks, Tao Zhen NUS Singapore [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

The probe sequences should be in the bpmap file, but note that thy are packed into a 7 byte character sequence. L. > I also tried to write a tpmap file.
