If I have a small number of experiments heatmap() uses the default width to display the graph. In this case I would like to make the color rectangles narrower or thinner. In other words I would like to control the dimensions of the graph. How do I do that. Which line in the heatmap() function do I have to change or what parmeters can I set to achieve this result. Thank your for your help. Juerg Straubhaar UMass Med School

Juerg, See ?par under the mar (for margin) section. You may also want to install library(gregmisc) from CRAN which has a heatmap.2 with many more customizations.
