Upcoming Bioconductor Release 1.1 On November 18, 2002, there will be a release (version 1.1) of the Bioconductor software. Please check the URL http://www.bioconductor.org/relNotices/relNotice_1.1.html over the next few weeks as it will be updated as new information is available. Release 1.1 is intended to be operated with R version 1.6.1, which can be obtained at CRAN. A schedule of important dates in the release cycle is as follows: * November 1, 2002: Feature freeze. Developers are to add no new functionality to their packages. * November 8, 2002: Code freeze. Developers are NOT to add any new code to their work, except to fix bugs. Peer code review will take place at this point as well. * November 18, 2002: Release. Any questions should be directed to either myself or the Bioconductor mailing list. -Jeff
