Hello all, The brief communication describing the metagenomeSeq package is out in Nature Methods. metagenomeSeq is designed to determine features (be it Operational Taxanomic Unit (OTU), species, etc.) that are differentially abundant between two or more groups of multiple samples in targeted metagenomic experiments. metagenomeSeq is designed to address the effects of both normalization and under-sampling of microbial communities on differential abundance detection. The paper: http://www.nature.com/nmeth/journal/vaop/ncurrent/abs/nmeth.2658.html The package: http://bioconductor.org/packages/release/bioc/html/metagenomeSeq.html Cheers, Hector Hector Corrada Bravo Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology University of Maryland, College Park hcorrada@umiacs.umd.edu [[alternative HTML version deleted]]
