Computational Biologist- Computational Biology Support Team
    • non-time limited position
We are seeking a computational biologist to join the Computational Biology team at the CRUK Manchester Institute. They will work collaboratively with different research groups within the Institute to analyse and interpret a range of genomics data, including deep sequencing and mass spectrometry datasets arising from our molecular core facilities. They will make extensive use of our HPC facility located on site and will work closely with our Scientific Computing team to provide timely analysis of high volumes of complex data.

The successful applicant should have a relevant degree computational biology (or equivalent relevant experience) and substantial relevant experience analysing genomics data, along with a broad knowledge of genomic technologies and their application to cancer research. A Masters in computational biology, mathematics or related discipline would be desirable.  They will have a detailed understanding of the statistics, tools and approaches available for analysing large genome-wide datasets and will combine these with excellent communication skills and a desire to work within a multidisciplinary team.
