Hi,

I have just updated my miRLAB package in the development branch, and the build/check report shows OK for all platforms except morelia (Mac OS):

ERROR: dependency ‘pcalg’ is not available for package ‘miRLAB’

It seems like the package 'pcalg'  is somehow not available in this particular machine this time. Everything works perfectly in the previous version.  Would you please help?

Regards,

Thuc.

Hi Thuc ,

The problem is that pcalg for Snow Leopard (and thereby the morelia build server) is not available on CRAN:   https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/pcalg/index.html .  That means pcalg isn't available to us (or our users). The solution is for the pcalg author to address whatever the underlying issue is, or for you to avoid the dependency on pcalg.  The Mac CRAN builds are managed by Simon Urbanek, and from this page https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/policies.html , it says :

"Questions about binary packages should be addressed to those responsible for building them: Simon Urbanek (OS X) and Uwe Ligges (Windows); email addresses ‘First.Lastname@R-project.org’."

So, perhaps you can try contacting Simon?

Hope this helps,

Brian
