Using minet package to construct GRN, the first step is to build the mutual information matrix using build.mim function. However, sparse documentation on the influence of the alternative methods used to the final constructed network. The parameter including "estimator" and "discretization". I want to know which estimator and discretization method are best for the GRN network construction. May be different method is used for specific data type, such as steady-state or time course. Is there a evaluation paper on this topic?
