Hi all, I am a wet lab scientist trying to understand how a DEGUST works... I read a few things about normalization but I still don't grasp 100% of the methods that are out there.

I am using DEGUST to look at some data and I am using the Voom/Limma method. DEGUST gives me normalised counts in CPM. But what is the actual normalization method used? I am going along using this paper... so is it normalisation by distribution it uses or by library size?

Any help to understand this is highly appreciated! Thank you!

The 'stock' method of normalization for limma-voom is to compute logCPM using library sizes that are adjusted using a TMM normalization. The paper describing TMM can be found here.
