The Rsubread/Subread Users Guide file contains Case Studies (p 56) that requires data (reads generated by the MAQC/SEQC Consortium and reference sequence of chr1 human genome) to be downloaded from this website: http://bioinf.wehi.edu.au/RNAseqCaseStudy/data.tar.gz The link is broken. Could you please update or provide an alternative source? Thanks

WEHI, Melbourne, Australia

Unfortunately we decommissioned the old http://bioinf.wehi.edu.au server last year after 20 years of service. Our new https://bioinf.wehi.edu.au server is more secure but has a much smaller disk footprint than the old server and the RNAseqCaseStudy was too large to be transferred. The new URL for the case study is:

https://subread.sourceforge.net/RNAseqCaseStudy.html

Thanks, but still unable to download:

wget http://subread.sourceforge.net/data.tar.gz --2022-05-03 21:33:22-- http://subread.sourceforge.net/data.tar.gz Resolving subread.sourceforge.net (subread.sourceforge.net)... 204.68.111.100 Connecting to subread.sourceforge.net (subread.sourceforge.net)|204.68.111.100|:80... connected. SourceForge says: The Files on SourceForge.net Project Web sites are limited to a max size. The file requested is too large. If you are the project administrator, you should host your large files using the File Release Service, not Project Web. Contact SourceForge.net support for assistance.

Thanks

Sorry about this. I thought it works because it has been there for a long time ... We have created a new link for download - https://latrobeuni-my.sharepoint.com/:u:/g/personal/yliao_ltu_edu_au/ESba1-VojYlMlQHVXxfc1d4BrONjXa_1qd4e1qz97tIe-w?e=nnYXyV . I have tested it and it works.

Thanks Wei,

I now could download the data and have successfully run the Case Study example from the User Guide. ;-)
