Hello everyone,

I have a general question about the correct way to apply pathway analysis results.

In our conducted pathway analysis, there is one pathway pointed out which includes molecules which already showed significant differences in our previous experiments using different material. The complete name of the pathway after the analysis is "AGE-RAGE-signaling pathway in diabetic complications" (https://www.genome.jp/pathway/hsa04933). Our study is not about diabetic complications but about inflammatory changes (which also activate AGE-RAGE signaling) and that is why I ask myself if it is accepted to shorten the pathway name to "AGE-RAGE-signaling pathway"? On Wikipathway for example, you can find "AGE/RAGE pathway (Homo sapiens)" only (https://www.wikipathways.org/index.php/Pathway:WP2324).

Thank you very much for your help!
