Hello, I am using scater for analyzing single cell RNAsequ data from one of my samples that contained healthy cells and dying cells. My mitochondrial gene distribution is composed of cells that have really low mitochondrial content and really high mitochondrial content. I was wondering if it was possible to do the mito.drop based on an absolute value such a threshold percentage rather than median (nmads). Thank you, Maria

  1. Put scater as a tag, otherwise the maintainers don't get notified.
  2. Give a more specific reason why you think that nmads isn't suitable.
