HI,

I don't know whether this is the most appropriate place to ask (my apologies if not!), but would be possible to add the date to a post when returning the results of a search the support site, and, related to this, to implement an option "sort on date"? This will allow to have the most recent (and relevant!?) results easily identified when searching the archive.

Thanks,

Guido

<edit: typo in title. Sorry for that!)

Here's a page for GitHub issues regarding the support site:

https://github.com/Bioconductor/support.bioconductor.org/issues

Here's an existing issue if you want to expand on it:

Searching the archives using the Biostar search facility is pretty painful. I find that doing Google searches instead, (adding   site:support.bioconductor.org to the search string to limit to this site) brings up a more reasonable set of results. If you then want to filter (not sort by, but filter) on date, you can click the 'Search tools' button and use either a pre-set date range, or use the custom range.

It's not what you asked for, but the results are much more useful than what you currently get. Plus, any changes to the site will most likely have to be implemented by Istvan Albert and he may or may not want to make those changes.

Nice on, James, thanks!

BTW, after setting the time range sorting on date is also possible.
