Hello, Anybody working on a BioConductor/R wrapper of X-tandem? I am asking so we can avoid overlapping developments. X-tandem is an open source search engine to identify peptide sequences from a mass spectrometry peak list. It is written in C++. Inputs/Outputs are mostly XML. Seems easy to wrap it. http://www.thegpm.org/TANDEM/ It can work with other BioConductor modules of preprocessing mass spec data. Suggestions from potential users are also welcome.
