Hello everyone, I am just wondering why in the new version of the metadata package moe430a so few probesets can be mapped to Locus Link IDs compared to the older version. Were there some major changes I missed? Thank you very much Manuela # new version > library(moe430a) > length(moe430aLOCUSID) [1] 14445 > sessionInfo() Version 2.3.0 (2006-04-24) i386-pc-mingw32 attached base packages: [1] "methods" "stats" "graphics" "grDevices" "utils" "datasets" "base" other attached packages: moe430a "1.12.0" # old version > detach("package:moe430a") > library(moe430a, lib="c:/Programme/R/R-2.2.0/library") > length(moe430aLOCUSID) [1] 22690 Warning message: Verwendung der NULL Umgebung ist veraltet > sessionInfo() Version 2.3.0 (2006-04-24) i386-pc-mingw32 attached base packages: [1] "methods" "stats" "graphics" "grDevices" "utils" "datasets" "base" other attached packages: moe430a "1.10.0" -- -------------------------------------------------- Dipl.-Stat. Hi Manuela, Thank you very much for the report. It is actually a bug in moe430a v1.12.0. The file got truncated somehow when we parsed Affymetrix anntation data. We have put a new version (1.12.1) at http://www.bioconductor.org/packages/release/data/annotation/html/moe4 30a.html The OS X binary is still old though, and will be available in about a week. thanks again and sorry for the problem Nianhua Li Group of Computational Biology, FHCRC
