Thanks, Brian ------------------------------------- The candidate will support the biomarker and systems biology efforts at Vertex by using statistical analyses and data mining of high-throughput genomics experiments (transcript profiling, proteomics, cell-based assays) to determine effects of drug treatment and identify potential biomarkers. The candidate will also contribute to experimental design, use pathway analyses to elucidate biological mechanisms and will communicate results of analyses to project teams and make recommendations for follow-on experiments. To be qualified for this position, candidates should have a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Math or Biology and expertise in gene- expression profiling analysis. This person should also have experience using mathematical / statistical languages (e.g. R/Bioconductor, Matlab) and solid knowledge of statistics (expertise preferred).
