>From inspecting the files Mapping250K_Nsp.na22.annot.csv and Mapping250K_Sty.na22.annot.csv, which I downloaded from the Affy web site, it seems to me that Affy's Mapping 500K Array Set SNP chips do not probe the p arms of chromosomes 13, 14, 15 and 22. Is that right? If so, does anyone know why that is? Thanks in advance. -Ben The information transmitted in this electronic communication...{{dropped}}

Human chromosomes 13, 14, 15, 21, and 22 are acrocentric chromosomes which lack a p arm. The only DNA content in the location of a p arm is stalk and satellite DNA and the ribosomal DNA. -- Stephanie K.
