Hello, We have installed "R" v.2.6 on an HP Proliant server running RedHat Enterprise Linux v.4. Does anyone know if Bioconductor v.2.1 runs on RHEL v.4? I don't see it listed on: http://www.bioconductor.org/checkResults/2.1/bioc-LATEST/ However, SUSE might be close enough for RHEL to work. -------------------------------------------- Richard

Hi Richard, we're running it just fine on CentOS 4.5, which is binary-compatible with RHEL 4. I don't see any reason why you'd have any problems running bioconductor packages there, especially if you've already got R working properly. Hi Richard, If you can get R installed and running on your computer, then by definition most of the Bioconductor packages will 'run' as well. The only caveat being that some packages rely on non-R software for some of their functionality, and if that software isn't installed (or installable), then you won't be able to use that particular package. However it is more likely that a package will work on a Linux variant rather than Mac OS or Windows.
