Hello, I would like to re-annotate probes for a custom PM-only chip. I tried using altcdfenvs, but discovered that I first needed a make a probes database for my CDF library. To do this I tried using makeProbePackage, only to discover that the package matchprobes does not accept that my probes are PM- only. Like several people before me, I get the error message Error in rep(NA, max(pm1, mm1, pm2, mm2)) : invalid 'times' argument THere has been mention that going back to an older version of matchprobes will overcome this PM-only problem. Does anyone know of other workarounds? I am using the most up-to-date version of R and its packages. Thanks, Ariel Grostern UC Berkeley

Hi Ariel, Well something seems to be amiss, because the latest version of Bioconductor does not have a matchprobes package and hasn't for some time. Can you please provide the output of sessionInfo()? I am concerned that you might possibly have packages mixed from different releases. It is still not clear to me what what is happening to you. Do you have a reproducible example of what you did so that I can try it here? And while I am mentioning these things it might help you to have a peek at our posting guide: http://www.bioconductor.org/help/mailing-list/posting-guide/ Marc On 06/22/2011 06:27 PM, Ariel Grostern wrote: > Hello, > I would like to re-annotate probes for a custom PM-only chip.
