This symposium will provide a dedicated forum for the advancement, implementation and exchange of information on noncoding RNAs, next generation sequencing, and epigenomics and genetic variation for translation into clinical practice with the ultimate goal to improve the health of patients with cancer. Organizing Committee: Laufey Amundadottir, Curt Harris, Tim Harris, Javed Khan, Glenn Merlino, Thomas Ried, and Snorri Thorgeirsson Topics include: • Noncoding RNAs: The Dark Matter of the Genome • Next Generation Sequencing for Next Generation Medicine • Epigenomics and genetic variation Speakers include: Eric Green, NHGRI * David Goldstein, Duke University * Joshua Mendell, UT Southwestern Medical Center * Joanne Weidhaas, Yale University * Curt Harris, NCI * Natasha Caplen, NCI * Carlo Croce, Ohio State University * Barbara Wold, California Institute of Technology * Tim Harris, Biogen Idec * David Ting, Massachusetts General Hospital * Elaine Mardis, Washington University * Steve Lincoln, Complete Genomics * Javed Khan, NCI * Manel Esteller, Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL), Barcelona * Peter Jones, University of Southern California * Jean-Pierre Issa, Temple University School of Medicine * Paul Meltzer, NCI * Olofumni Olopade, University Of Chicago * Laufey Amundadottir, NCI To Register: Registration is free but seating is limited so please register online at: <http: web.ncifcrf.gov="" events="" translationalgenomics="" register.asp=""> For additional information please contact Laura Hooper at hooperl@mail.nih.gov [[alternative HTML version deleted]]
