Hi Marcos, We already have probe and chip packages provided for that affy chip here: http://www.bioconductor.org/packages/devel/data/annotation/ And you can easily use the AnnotationDbi package to make an annotation package from the resources at affy. You can see relevant documentation here in the pdf called " SQLForge: An easy way to create a new annotation package with a standard database schema.": http://www.bioconductor.org/packages/release/bioc/html/AnnotationDbi.h tml Please let us know if you have further questions, Marc On 01/12/2012 07:58 AM, Marcos Pinho wrote: > Dear List, > > could anybody help to convert affy probes for the S.aureus chip into gene > names. i am using Limma to generate a topTable for my comparisons but > cannot get an output with more info than affy probe IDs. > > Regards, > > > > _______________________________________________ > Bioconductor mailing list > Bioconductor@r-project.org > https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinfo/bioconductor > Search the archives: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.science.biology.informatics.conductor [[alternative HTML version deleted]]
