Hi, I would like to know, if there's any R function, which allows calculation of probability values from multivariate normal densities. I would be grateful for any output. Cheers, MG

The 'mvtnorm' package does this: library('mvtnorm') ?dmvnorm ?pmvnorm It even comes with a vignette: http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/mvtnorm/vignettes/MVT_Rnews.pdf This isn't really a bioconductor question though, so perhaps you could direct any followups to R-help. 2012/2/2 Michał Góralski <mgoralsk@ibch.poznan.pl> > Hi, > > I would like to know, if there's any R function, which allows calculation > of probability values from multivariate normal densities. > > I would be grateful for any output. > > Cheers, > > MG > > ______________________________**_________________ > Bioconductor mailing list > Bioconductor@r-project.org > https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/**listinfo/bioconductor<https: stat.et="" hz.ch="" mailman="" listinfo="" bioconductor=""> > Search the archives: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.** > science.biology.informatics.**conductor<http: news.gmane.org="" gmane.="" science.biology.informatics.conductor=""> > -- *A model is a lie that helps you see the truth.* * * Howard Skipper<http: cancerres.aacrjournals.org="" content="" 31="" 9="" 1173.full.pdf=""> [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Thanks a lot for help. I've sent the same post to R-help, since I've been told, that it's not a bioconductor question and I've got the same output. Probably the mvtnorm package is the best solution:) Best wishes, MG W dniu 2012-02-02 17:05, Tim Triche, Jr. pisze: > The 'mvtnorm' package does this: > > library('mvtnorm') > ?dmvnorm > ?pmvnorm > > It even comes with a vignette: > http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/mvtnorm/vignettes/MVT_Rnews.pdf > > This isn't really a bioconductor question though, so perhaps you could > direct any followups to R-help. > > > 2012/2/2 Michał Góralski <mgoralsk@ibch.poznan.pl> <mailto:mgoralsk@ibch.poznan.pl>> > > Hi, > > I would like to know, if there's any R function, which allows > calculation of probability values from multivariate normal densities. > > I would be grateful for any output. > > Cheers, > > MG > > _______________________________________________ > Bioconductor mailing list > Bioconductor@r-project.org <mailto:bioconductor@r-project.org> > https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinfo/bioconductor > Search the archives: > http://news.gmane.org/gmane.science.biology.informatics.conductor > > > > > -- > /A model is a lie that helps you see the truth./ > / > / > Howard Skipper > <http: cancerres.aacrjournals.org="" content="" 31="" 9="" 1173.full.pdf=""> > -- Michał Góralski --------------------------------- Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences Noskowskiego 12/14 61-704 Poznań, Poland [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

CRAN package mvtnorm is one place to look. 2012/2/2 Michał Góralski <mgoralsk@ibch.poznan.pl> > Hi, > > I would like to know, if there's any R function, which allows calculation > of probability values from multivariate normal densities. > > I would be grateful for any output. > > Cheers, > > MG > > ______________________________**_________________ > Bioconductor mailing list > Bioconductor@r-project.org > https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/**listinfo/bioconductor<https: stat.et="" hz.ch="" mailman="" listinfo="" bioconductor=""> > Search the archives: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.** > science.biology.informatics.**conductor<http: news.gmane.org="" gmane.="" science.biology.informatics.conductor=""> > [[alternative HTML version deleted]]
