I was wondering if there are any plans to update the mirbase.db package. The current version (1.2.0) bases on miRBase version 19.

Have you asked James Reid? He is the maintainer for that package.

Apparently he is quite busy and no longer working with miRNAs. His email was unfortunately quite inconclusive, so, I've no idea if he plans to update or not.
