Hello to everybody, I have installed Version 2.0.1, and when I try to reproduce the example from the tutorial about GO in which the function GoHypherG is explained, I obtain this error message: xx<-GOHyperG(myLL, lib="hgu95av2", what="MF") Error in FUN(X[[50]], ...) : No direct or inherited method for function "Ontology" for this call All the libraries GO-related have been loaded. Can anybody help me? thank you for your attention, regards, maria Maria Persico MINT database, Cesareni Group Universita' di Tor Vergata, via della Ricerca Scientifica 00133 Roma, Italy Tel: +39 0672594315 FAX: +39 0672594766 e-mail: maria@cbm.bio.uniroma2.it

Maria, The problem is probably a mismatch between GOstats and the GO metadata package. Make sure you have the newest version of both. This question gets asked often. Just a reminder to folks that there is a wonderful BioConductor mail archive (http://www.liondb.org/biocond); this thread is helpful on this topic: http://files.protsuggest.org/biocond/html/7280.html Sean On Feb 2, 2005, at 3:54 AM, Maria Persico wrote: > > Hello to everybody, > > I have installed Version 2.0.1, and when I try to reproduce the example > from the tutorial about GO in which the function GoHypherG is > explained, > I obtain this error message: > > xx<-GOHyperG(myLL, lib="hgu95av2", what="MF") > > Error in FUN(X[[50]], ...) : No direct or inherited method for function > "Ontology" for this call > > All the libraries GO-related have been loaded. > > Can anybody help me? > > thank you for your attention, > > regards, > > maria > Maria Persico > MINT database, Cesareni Group > Universita' di Tor Vergata, via della Ricerca Scientifica > 00133 Roma, Italy > Tel: +39 0672594315 > FAX: +39 0672594766 > e-mail: maria@cbm.bio.uniroma2.it > > _______________________________________________ > Bioconductor mailing list > Bioconductor@stat.math.ethz.ch > https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinfo/bioconductor
