Hi, first, thanks to you all for the help... I made my own package, using ABprimer.pdf vignette first and then using AnnBuilder.pdf. I didn't receive errors, packages looks like correctly created with all subdirectories etc etc... To install the packages (windows OS) I either copied the dirs and the subdirs in the R library directory, or zipped the folders and installed "from local files" from R session menu (it looks like the same thing). But how could read my data? Because I created the "test" package, but with "load package" from R menu, or with "library" command I receive: >Error in library(pkg, character.only = TRUE) : 'test' is not a valid package -- installed < 2.0.0? or, in the second case >Error in library(test) : 'test' is not a valid package -- installed < >2.0.0? Please forgive me if I'm making some stupid error and please tell me what I'm doing wrong... I've to load each separate generated file ? There's some document I can read for an help ? I searched the web with no results... Thanks again, any help will be appreciated... Giulio

I guess you are a Windows user. You will have to build the package first (read http://www.murdoch-sutherland.com/Rtools/) >X-Original-To: jzhang@jimmy.harvard.edu >Delivered-To: jzhang@jimmy.harvard.edu >X-Originating-IP: [193.206.124.28] >X-Originating-Email: [perimessaggini@hotmail.com] >X-Sender: perimessaggini@hotmail.com >From: "Giulio Di Giovanni" <perimessaggini@hotmail.com> >To: bioconductor@stat.math.ethz.ch >Date: Tue, 08 Feb 2005 16:07:05 +0000 >Mime-Version: 1.0 >X-OriginalArrivalTime: 08 Feb 2005 16:08:02.0082 (UTC) FILETIME=[5D736020:01C50DF8] >Received-SPF: none (hypatia: domain of bioconductor- bounces@stat.math.ethz.ch does not designate permitted sender hosts) >Received-SPF: pass (hypatia: domain of perimessaggini@hotmail.com designates 64.4.37.45 as permitted sender) >X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new at stat.math.ethz.ch >Subject: [BioC] AnnBuilder error ? >X-BeenThere: bioconductor@stat.math.ethz.ch >X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 >List-Id: The Bioconductor Project Mailing List <bioconductor.stat.math.ethz.ch> >List-Unsubscribe: <https: stat.ethz.ch="" mailman="" listinfo="" bioconductor="">, <mailto:bioconductor-request@stat.math.ethz.ch?subject=unsubscribe> >List-Archive: <https: stat.ethz.ch="" pipermail="" bioconductor=""> >List-Post: <mailto:bioconductor@stat.math.ethz.ch> >List-Help: <mailto:bioconductor- request@stat.math.ethz.ch?subject="help"> >List-Subscribe: <https: stat.ethz.ch="" mailman="" listinfo="" bioconductor="">, <mailto:bioconductor-request@stat.math.ethz.ch?subject=subscribe> >X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.0.1 (2004-10-22) on pascal.dfci.harvard.edu >X-Spam-Level: >X-Spam-Status: No, score=0.1 required=3.0 tests=FORGED_RCVD_HELO, MSGID_FROM_MTA_HEADER autolearn=ham version=3.0.1 > > >Hi, first, thanks to you all for the help... > >I made my own package, using ABprimer.pdf vignette first and then using >AnnBuilder.pdf. >I didn't receive errors, packages looks like correctly created with all >subdirectories etc etc... > >To install the packages (windows OS) I either copied the dirs and the >subdirs in the R library directory, or zipped the folders and installed >"from local files" from R session menu (it looks like the same thing). > >But how could read my data? Ah, if installing packages on windows were so easy ;-D. Installing packages on windows is actually more complicated. See the following FAQ entry: http://cran.r-project.org/bin/windows/base/rw-FAQ.html#Can-I-install- packages-into-libraries-in-this-version_003f Jim > > But how could read my data?
