Hi,

I am using QuasR to alignment RNAseq data. I have 116 FATSQ files and I wondering if it is possible to stop the alignment in the middle of the run and start again later on. Will the program recognize that some of the alignments have been done (bam files in the folder) and resume where it stopped.

I am asking because we will have I power shutdown. Will i have to start a new proj with only the remaining FASTQ files? Will that affect the next steps (qcount...)

Thank you

Nadia

Hi Nadia

Yes, this is possible. QuasR will check for alignments which have been already done, and will only work on the fastq files which have not yet been aligned - assuming you use exactly the same option when you call qAlign again.

See also the top of page 42 of the current QuasR vignette: http://www.bioconductor.org/packages/release/bioc/vignettes/QuasR/inst/doc/QuasR.pdf

Hope this helps, Hans-Rudolf

Definitely helpful. I was worried that I will have to start again the alignment

Thank you

Nadia
