BioC Asia is coming to a screen near you this November (1-4). This will be the seventh Bioconductor Asia meeting that aims to bring together researchers with an interest in Bioconductor and R to exchange ideas and expertise. We're planning a fun and welcoming virtual meeting with talks and workshops to suit beginners through to more experienced users.
Registrations and abstract submissions are now open:
- Registration: https://biocasia2021.bioconductor.org/registration/
- Abstract submissions for a long talk, workshop, or birds-of-a-feather session: https://biocasia2021.bioconductor.org/submissions/
Abstracts are due next Thursday, September 30!
This year's conference has a focus on overcoming language barriers and expanding the Bioconductor community. To support this, we will be hosting workshops in multiple languages (Japanese, Mandarin, English), and featuring keynote and invited presentations on "Overcoming language barriers in science" (Dr Tatsuya Amano, Univeristy of Queensland) and "AsiaR community and R-Ladies in Asia" (Dr Janani Ravi, Michigan State University, USA).
On the science front, we have keynotes on mass spectrometry and the FANTOM project, and of course there will be plenty of presentations on the latest and greatest software available through Bioconductor.
