Protein Structure and Bioinformatics Group (http://structure.bmc.lu.se/) at Lund University, Sweden is looking for two research scientists/postdocs to work on variation interpretation. We are one of the leading groups developing tools and performing variation interpretation to sort from genomic sequence data alterations that are linked to diseases. We have developed several of the most reliable prediction methods in the world for detection of harmful variants and for predicting the causative mechanisms (at DNA, RNA, protein, structure, function etc levels). Our predictors include PON-P2, PON-MMR2, PON-Tstab and PON-mt-tRNA and others.
One of the positions is more inclined towards development of artificial intelligence solutions for predictors and the other contains also data analysis and predictions of various data sets.
Both the positions are for two years and open immediately. The position is at the Department of Experimental Medical Science, Lund University and located at the Biomedical Center (BMC).
