This note is to gauge the level of interest in a two-day Bioconductor training course to be held in Boston mid- or late May 2003. Details of syllabus will depend on the enrolling population, but will probably include an overview of R, review of bioinformatics platforms and annotation, preprocessing and analysis of cDNA and oligo, statistical methods including machine learning applications. Pricing structure is also to be determined, but currently $399US for industry, $299US for academics is being entertained. This would be a low infrastructure course: participants would be provided with CD-ROMs with all course software and materials runnable on either linux or windows laptops, and participants would be assumed to bring such laptops with them. If you are interested in this arrangement, please DO NOT RESPOND TO THE LIST, but respond to carey@biostat.harvard.edu. Further discussion of this training arrangement will be on a targeted basis, off the list.
