Bioinformatician/Microarray Data Analyst
A bioinformatician is required to join the Computational Biology
group.
The successful applicant will provide expertise for analysing data
generated from microarray experiments. The individual will also be
involved in designing experiments and developing analysis pipelines
for
handling large quantities of biological data.
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual with a
numerate background, preferably with demonstrated experience in
bioinformatics. Some programming skills (Perl, Java or R) applied in a
heterogeneous computing environment is essential, as are excellent
communications skills and the ability to work on a variety of projects
with scientists from a range of disciplines. Any previous experience
of
analysing microarray data is a distinct advantage.
You must be project orientated and team player with a keen commercial
acumen. Well developed problem solving skills and an entrepreneurial
outlook are essential for you to succeed in this role.
