Dear list, Is there any package / function that accesses to the Eukaryotic Orthologous Groups (KOG) database? I've searched on the web and in Bioconductor but no answer was found... Thanks in advance, Javier

Hi Javier, There is not presently a package like this that I know of. But there are a set of inparanoid packages which could be similar enough to be helpful for you. You might want to peek at hom.Hs.inp.db for a quick example. If you have a use case that is not solvable by using inparanoid data, I would certainly be open to considering support for COGs as well. Perhaps we can take this discussion offline and discuss the possibilities?
