Introductory course on GeneChip?Exon 1.0 ST & NGS microRNA data analysis Feb 2011 In association with Affymetrix?, the Bioinformatics and Genomics Unit (B&Gu), is pleased to invite you to a workshop on the analysis of whole-transcript expression arrays and sequencing data: Introductory course on GeneChip?Exon 1.0 ST & NGS microRNA data analysis (http://www.bioinformatica.unito.it/exon.array.course.html) Date: 23-25th February 2011 Location: Torino, Italy If you are a biologist new to whole-transcript expression arrays and next generation sequencing (NGS) data, this three day, hands-on workshop will enable you to : i) Apply basic statistical tests to analyse expression data from Exon 1.0 ST arrays and NGS data to quantify microRNAs. ii) Analyse expression data at both the gene- and exon-level to detect alternative splicing iii) Detect putative microRNA targets by integrating microRNA and gene expression data. R-coding skills and knowledge of statistics is not necessary for attendance, however, the course is ideal for those who have a basic knowledge of microarray technology. For an agenda, course fees and travel information, please refer to: http://www.bioinformatica.unito.it/exon.array.course.html The course is organized by the B&Gu and supported by Affymetrix. All registration and course queries can be answered by the Course Secretariat, Prof. Raffaele A. Calogero. raffaele.calogero at unito.it -- ---------------------------------------- Prof. Raffaele A.
