The new packages don't seem to be available. This is a confusing message since I do have an internet connection and bioconductor, org is available and up. Hi David, You need to use the Snow Leopard version of R instead of the Mavericks version, see https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/bioc-devel/2014-April/005497.html for more information. I have exactly the same problem right now.

Error: 'no packages in repository (no internet connection?)' while trying https://bioconductor.org/packages/3.4/bioc

What can I do with it?

Try again. Bioc 3.4 was unavailable for a while a few days ago. SeeĀ https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/bioc-devel/2016-October/009897.html for more details.
