Dear all, I tried to use 'annaffy' to retrieve symbols for a set of probe-ids from for 'ygs98' as follows: >aafSymbol(probeids, data@annotation) Loading required package: ygs98 Error in mget(c("10007_at", "10055_at", "10058_at", "10062_at", "10102_at", : Object "ygs98SYMBOL" not found As shown from the prompt that 'Object "ygs98SYMBOL" not found'. I am not sure the cause of the error. Thanks advance for your help. The annotation for the yeast chip is a little different. The package does not have a SYMBOL environment. >Date: Fri, 17 Dec 2004 14:10:48 -0500 >From: Xinghua Lu <lux@musc.edu> >User-Agent: Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0 (X11/20041206) >X-Accept-Language: en-us, en >MIME-Version: 1.0 >To: bioconductor@stat.math.ethz.ch >Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit >X-MUSC-MailScanner-Information: Please contact postmstr@musc.edu for more information >X-MUSC-MailScanner: Found to be clean >X-MUSC-MailScanner-SpamCheck: not spam (whitelisted), SpamAssassin (score=0.229, required 2, AWL 0.23) >X-MailScanner-From: lux@musc.edu >Received-SPF: none (hypatia: domain of bioconductor- bounces@stat.math.ethz.ch does not designate permitted sender hosts) >Received-SPF: none (hypatia: domain of lux@musc.edu does not designate permitted sender hosts) >X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new at stat.math.ethz.ch >X-Mailman-Approved-At: Fri, 17 Dec 2004 22:20:24 +0100 >Subject: [BioC] Annotation of yeast "ygs98" chip >X-BeenThere: bioconductor@stat.math.ethz.ch >X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 >List-Id: The Bioconductor Project Mailing List <bioconductor.stat.math.ethz.ch> >List-Unsubscribe: <https: stat.ethz.ch="" mailman="" listinfo="" bioconductor="">, <mailto:bioconductor-request@stat.math.ethz.ch?subject=unsubscribe> >List-Archive: <https: stat.ethz.ch="" pipermail="" bioconductor=""> >List-Post: <mailto:bioconductor@stat.math.ethz.ch> >List-Help: <mailto:bioconductor- request@stat.math.ethz.ch?subject="help"> >List-Subscribe: <https: stat.ethz.ch="" mailman="" listinfo="" bioconductor="">, <mailto:bioconductor-request@stat.math.ethz.ch?subject=subscribe> >X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-rc1 (1.197-2003-08-21-exp) on blaise.dfci.harvard.edu >X-Spam-Status: No, hits=0.0 required=5.0 tests=none autolearn=ham version=2.60-rc1 >X-Spam-Level: > >Dear all, > > I tried to use 'annaffy' to retrieve symbols for a set of probe-ids >from for 'ygs98' as follows: > > >aafSymbol(probeids, data@annotation) >Loading required package: ygs98 >Error in mget(c("10007_at", "10055_at", "10058_at", "10062_at", >"10102_at", : > Object "ygs98SYMBOL" not found > >As shown from the prompt that 'Object "ygs98SYMBOL" not found'.
