Dear all: I had installed R1.6.1 in win2000 professional. After adding the package of "ctc", I got the error massage(see below) while loading this library. However, this library can work in Linux system. Can anybody tell how to deal with that? Thanks. ********************************************************************** ****** > library(ctc) Error in testRversion(descfile) : This package has not been installed properly See the Note in ?library ********************************************************************** ****** ------------------------------------------------ Shih-Te Yang (???), Ph.D. student Bioinformatics Research Center Institute of Biochemistry School of Life Science National Yang-Ming University Tel:+886-2-28267000*5666 Fax:+886-2-81461062 E-mail:g38903040@ym.edu.tw MyWeb: http://binfo.ym.edu.tw/styang/ ------------------------------------------------

For some reason there was not a 'Built:' field in the DESCRIPTION file of the CTC package, and R now requires that. There's an updated build of both ctc and annaffy under the 'contributed packages' section of the web site. -J
