Hi - edit - i just re installed everything and it works now
I have been using R version 3.2.4 'secure dishes', but it seems I have automatically updated to R version 3.3.0 beta 'Supposedly Educational' and I get the following error:
The R session had a fatal error.
This error was very likely caused by R attempting to load packages from a different incompatible version of R on your system. Please remove other versions of R and/or remove environment variables that reference libraries from other versions of R before proceeding.
How do I roll back version or sort this out without losing all my packages I have installed?
I am running ubuntu 14.04.
Sorry it isn't exactly bioconductor, but is related.
Thanks,
Chris
Probably more fun / same amount of work to get it working than to role back. Is this message coming up when starting R with no .Rprofile or similar, from the command line with R --vanilla? How did you install R? What are the commands that lead to the message above? If you get to that stage, what does the R command
.libPaths()
say?i actually didnt upgrade or anything it just seemed to happen randomly. i deleted everything including libraries now, so that seem to fix it. ah the mysteries of working in linux.
