Hi community!

I am providing to Diffbind a genomic region list to be analyzed (not peaks, just regions of interest). Although the results are good, I want to avoid Diffbind to merge some of the regions that actually overlap. Can I do that? I have trying so far with no success. Any help?

Thanks!

Hello Sergio-

Currently, DiffBind will always merge overlapping peaks. Being able to retain overlapping peaks is a feature that has been requested more than once and is on our "to consider" list for a future release. We may be doing it soon as part of an effort to standardise on using summarizeOverlaps for all counting.

Regards-

Rory
