Question asked via email: what causes the following error in GENESIS?

Error in crossprod(x, y): requires numeric/complex matrix/vector arguments

This is caused by loading an older null model object in a new R session. GENESIS depends on the Matrix package, which changed how it stores Cholesky matrices in Matrix v1.6-0.

The solution is to re-create the null model in the user's current R environment.
