Hello, I'm OpenStats package maintainer.

In the end of December I got an email from the CRAN team that the pryr package is no longer maintained and will be archived on 31st of January.

OpenStats depends on summarytools which at that time depended on pryr. Because of that I was notified that OpenStats is at risk of archival.

Since then summarytools was updated and it no longer depends on pryr. As such CRAN team confirmed that OpenStats doesn't depend on pryr, but they can only speak for CRAN and not Bioconductor.

To be on the safe side, I would like to confirm with the Bioconductor team that the OpenStats package will not be archived, that everything is good about the dependencies and I don't need to take actions on my side.

With kind regards, Marina

As long as OpenStats is building cleanly and all needed stated dependencies are on CRAN or Bioconductor, OpenStats will not be archived. It seems like this is this case so OpenStats will remain in Bioconductor.
