The Nam Lab (annanamlab.com) of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and of the Englander Institute for Precision Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, is seeking post-doctoral scientists to study the development and progression of hematopoietic neoplasms using cutting edge molecular and computational approaches. We focus on developing novel single-cell multi-omics techniques and computational algorithms to directly interrogate primary human tissues. We implement a complementary approach of discovering cancer-specific signatures directly in patient samples through the powerful single-cell sequencing platforms and mechanistically defining these targets through model systems for translational impact.
We are recruiting both (1) wet lab-focused molecular biologists to lead single-cell genomics technology development and experiments and (2) computational biologists to develop new algorithms for discovery in high-dimensional datasets generated by novel experimental procedures. The positions are fully funded, and offer competitive benefits and access to subsidized Cornell housing.
Please include the following items with your application: (1) CV with a list of publications; (2) a short summary of your present and future research interests; (3) a list of three references and their contact information to Dr. Anna Nam at shn9035@med.cornell.edu.
