The recently released RStudio Package Manager (RSPM) enables easy management of versioned snapshots for all CRAN packages. The Microsoft R Application Network (MRAN) also provides similar snapshots via the CRAN time machine, but this doesn't currently support R 4.0. This functionality is super useful for improving reproducibility, and helps simplify the building of Docker recipes. To my knowledge, there's currently no way to freeze installation of Bioconductor packages to a specific date, correct?
Awesome, thanks Martin! I have the RSPM repo currently enabled in my site config, and it works great. In case anyone is interested, here's a link to my current shared Rprofile configuration file, which works on Linux and macOS.
