Hi I am very new to Bioconductor. I hope this is the right forum to my question. I have a list of from a bacterial proteome analysis that looks like this: S-Fe11GL0073263, LUJU01000080.1.orf00004, S-Fe9GL0017967, 2-1GL0024477, S-Fe10GL0065168, S-Fe10GL0110840, MC-0-1GL0117883, LUJU01000040.1.orf00130, 2-1_GL0024467,
I need to convert those name, to protein names that I can understand!
Is there any package that I could use to convert these names?
Please any help will be much appreciated.

It is not the right forum and it is worrying when any user expresses things like "desperation". Another worrying thing is that you have provided minimal information as to the background of your work; thus, reducing the probability that anybody will even attempt to help.
Hi Kevin, Thanks for your message. Would you point me towards the right direction/forum?
The data came from proteome analyzed in mice faeces. I received a dataset with differential expressed proteins from the host (mouse) and from the bacteria. Aim is to find differential expressed proteins between control and the experimental condition. The general downstream analysis is not the problem. I only need to convert those identifiers to a common protein name.
Thanks, Mercedes
