Hi, I am sorry to post this mail that does not concern any packages of the bioconductor repository. I have not been able to access to the bioconductor website today, from linux, windows, internet explorer, firefox, or konqueror. Am I the only one ? Thanks in advance for your help, Regards, Pierre-Yves Chibon

Our URL monitoring tool reports 100% avaibility for http://bioconductor.org/ during the last 24 hours. What error do you get? Are you behind a firewall? Have you checked with your local sysadmin? Sorry if I can't help much... When I try to access to the website through a web browser I get an error "server not found" "Firefox can't find the server at www.bioconductor.org." and through the terminal I get $ host bioconductor.org ;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached and ping does not give me any feed back > What error do you get? I was just wondering if some people also report such problems > Sorry if I can't help much... no problem, thanks on the contrary thanks again, Best regards, Pierre-Yves PS. Am I the only one to have to click on reply to all to reply also on the mailing list ? (just reply do not reply to the mailing list but only to the one I am replying to, Herve here) Thanks

But some mailing lists I subscribe to operate as you say: there is only one reply address: the list. Considering how often people end up sending replies off list accidently, perhaps this is something we (ahm someone else :) could investigate? Normally I would say that this is simply a user error, but we still see it rather often. Kasper

I can see the argument that a vast majority of replies reply on-list and so that should be the default. However, I have some personal experience with sending personal replies to lists and so it seems to me that the current setup has some advantages :-) + seth -- Seth Falcon | Computational Biology | Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center BioC: http://bioconductor.org/ Blog: http://userprimary.net/user/
