Dear All, I would like to analyze a time-series microarray data generated with Yeast 2.0 chip. There are 30 time-points with no replication. Is there any package I could you to: - identify genes with significant expression changes through the 30 points - cluster the significant genes and visualize the average expression profile in each cluster ?????? Thank you very much for any suggestion/help! Cheers, P. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Hi. I just read about you having time series data from yeast.  I need some for my dissertation.  Could you please share it with me?  If so please email me at Thomas.F.Hahn3@gmail.com or contact me on Skype at tfh002.  Thanks a lot in advance.  Thomas Hahn

Dear Paco, You might want to have a look at the maSigPro package. The maSigPro method uses regression to analyze time-series data. The program allows you to choose a polynomical degree to model more or less complex patterns. You have many time points and no replication and this is in principle OK for maSigPro but you should be careful with overfitting. You might expect given patterns to occur and you can use this information to choose the polynomila degree. To start with I would try values of 3 and 4 and see how your results look like. If you have any doubts do not hesitate to contact me.
